BATISTUTA: "EVERYONE HAS TREATED ME VERY WELL AT INTER. THE ENVIRONMENT IS FANTASTIC."

MILAN - Nerazzurri centre-forward Gabriel Batistuta was a guest on football programme Controcampo last night.

He said, "I'm pleased to be at Inter. The environment is fantastic. Everyone has treated me very well in order to help me settle in as soon as possible. I hoped to find a situation like this, but I was aware of the difficulties of joining and settling into a squad that has been working well for two years." Batistuta continued, "They got me to win the Scudetto. There are still loads of matches to go, and we still don't know how much influence the cups will have. We'll see which team is more focused and careful."

Batigol also spoke about fellow countryman and Nerazzurri team-mate Crespo: "He's working more than everyone else seeing as he has to recover. There's no problem between us, it was something that started in Argentina because we never played together with the national team shirt."

On Vieri, Batistuta commented, "I get on very well with Vieri, he always takes away one or two men. Also, he scores great goals and he's having a very lucky moment in which the balls always finish at his feet. Myself and Bobo do what Cuper asks us to do, we make the movements that are asked of us."

Regarding Camoranesi's call-up to the Italian national side, Batistuta said, "I'm neither in favour nor against it, but I wouldn't have done it. Because of what I'm like, I would have fought to convince the [Argentine national team] coach to select me."
