PARMA - The Nerazzurri Under-19s moved into the last 16 of the Primavera Coppa Italia with a comfortable 2-0 win over Parma this afternoon.
Having seen off the challenge of Modena in the first round, Salvatore Cerrone's youngsters travelled to Emilia for their second round tie in what was their last competitive fixture before a month-long break in activities due to the Under-17 World Cup.
A minute's silence was held before kick-off in memory of the victims of the Lampedusa tragedy.
Inter were excellent in the first half and went in at the break two goals to the good. Camara netted the first in the 22nd-minute, pouncing on the rebound from Capello's shot, then turned provider for the second, delivering from the right wing for Ventre to steer home from close range.
In the second period, the Nerazzurri defended their lead well while looking dangerous on the counter, before settling into defensive mode after Ventre's sending off for a second bookable offence in the 78th minute.
Cerrone's boys saw out the 90 minutes to claim a clean sheet and set up a last-16 tie against Chievo, to be played in December.
