Sixteen different Roma players on target

Roma, along with AC Milan, have scored with more players than any other team in this season's Serie A. In alphabetical order, the 16 Giallorossi players on target in 2006/07 so far are Aquilani, De Rossi, Ferrari, Mancini, Mexes, Montella, Okaka, Panucci, Perrotta, Pizarro, Rosi, Taddei, Tavano, Totti, Vucinic and Wilhelmsson.

No away goal against Roma for 239 minutes

The Giallorossi haven't conceded a Serie A goal since Gilardino's 62nd-minute effort in Roma 1-1 AC Milan last 31 March. That was 208 competitive minutes ago (remaining 28 minutes of that match plus entire games against Catania and Sampdoria). Away from home, Roma haven't conceded since Soncin's 31st-minute goal in Ascoli 1-1 Roma. That was 239 competitive minutes ago (remaining 59 minutes of that match plus goalless draw at Fiorentina and 2-0 away win against Catania).

Inter close to yet another record

Inter's 2006/07 team are two victories away from equalling the club's record of 27 wins in one Serie A season, set in 1950/51. The absolute record for the Italian championship belongs to the Great Torino side, who racked up 29 victories in 1947/48, the only Italian league season to be played with 21 teams over 42 matchdays.

Inter unbeaten in 39 games

Inter are unbeaten in their last 39 competitive matches, with 30 victories (including 11 wins in a row - 7 wins in Serie A, 2 in Coppa Italia & 2 in Champions League from 25 October 2006 to 2 December 2006 - a club record under the administration of Moratti) and 9 draws since their last defeat, a 2-0 home loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on 27 September 2006.

Inter undefeated at San Siro in 21 games, on target in 34 matches

Inter's last home defeat in the league was a 2-1 loss to Juventus on 12 February 2006. Since that date the Nerazzurri have collected 17 wins and 4 draws from 21 Serie A home matches at the Giuseppe Meazza. Inter have scored in their last 34 league fixtures at home, netting a total of 78 goals. Their last home game without scoring was the 0-0 draw with Reggina on the final day of the 2004/05 season.

Inter invincible in Serie A

Inter's last league defeat came way back on 30 April 2006 when they lost 1-0 at Empoli. Since then the Nerazzurri have collected 25 Serie A wins and 8 draws for a new club record of 33 top-flight matches without defeat. The previous record of 27 matches was set between 2003/04 and 2004/05. With their 31-match unbeaten run in 2006/06, Inter have set a new absolute record in the history of the Serie A championship with 20 teams. The previous record belonged to Juventus who remained undefeated for 28 matches (Weeks 11-38) in 2005/06.

Inter's second-half form

Inter have improved their results in the second halves of matches this season to earn 23 points, more than any other team taking part in the 2006/07 Serie A championship.

Spalletti one away from 200th win as coach

Roma boss Luciano Spalletti is one victory short of his 200th win since becoming a coach. From 454 games, the Tuscan trainer has collected 109 wins in Serie A, 25 in Serie B, 18 in Serie C1, 17 in Coppa Italia, 9 in Serie C Coppa Italia, 17 in European competitions, and 4 in other tournaments. His first win as a coach was Empoli 4-2 victory over Fiorenzuola, a Serie C1 match played on 29 May 1994.

MILAN - The Scudetto remains on ice as Roma sent Inter crashing to their first defeat of the 2006/07 Serie A season.

Francesco Totti's deflected free kick and Marco Cassetti's injury-time goal ensured all three points for the capital side after Marco Materazzi's penalty cancelled out Simone Perrotta's opener.

Inter, beaten in the league for the first time this season after 25 wins and 6 draws, need six points from the remaining six fixtures to wrap up their fifteenth title.

Mancini made three changes to the team that held Palermo on Sunday, with Cordoba in for Burdisso in defence, Stankovic preferred to Dacourt in the middle, and Ibrahimovic in place of Crespo up front.

Roma fielded a 4-5-1 formation with Totti as the lone striker, and the Giallorossi's numerical advantage in midfield showed as Spalletti's men conceded few spaces in the opening half.

The first real chance came on 20 minutes and it went Roma's way when Julio Cesar saved Totti's diagonal effort. Maicon blocked Perrotta's follow-up to deny the Italy midfielder a sure goal.

Inter came closest to a first-half goal in the 37th minute when Dejan Stankovic's 25-yard strike bounced off the top of Doni's crossbar.

Julio Cesar pulled off another terrific save before the interval, tipping Mancini's 20-yard snapshot on to the bar, but there was nothing he could do to stop Roma taking the lead on 43 minutes. De Rossi played to Chivu on the by-line and the Romanian defender swung in a low cross for Perrotta to slide over from two yards out.

Inter were level seven minutes after the break when Materazzi sent Doni the wrong way from the penalty spot after a foul by the Roma keeper on Adriano.

There was only one team on the pitch in the second half of Sunday's draw with Palermo, and it was a similar situation against Roma as the Nerazzurri piled on the pressure after Materazzi's sixth goal of the season.

Adriano was brilliantly denied by Doni who pushed the Brazilian's header on to the post in the 59th minute.

Ibrahimovic then poked wide a Stankovic cross-shot, and Roma had their keeper to thank again for a one-handed save from Stankovic's 25-yard drive.

Nine minutes from time Maicon received on the right from Figo and flashed his cross-shot just wide of the left post.

But the Meazza fell silent with sixty seconds to play when Totti's free kick took a wicked deflection off Figo, giving Julio Cesar no chance of making a save.

Giallorossi substitute Cassetti added insult to injury in time added on with Roma's third goal, a low shot between the legs of Cordoba.
