INTER 3 REGGINA 0 - NERAZZURRI GO THREE POINTS CLEAR AT TOP OF SERIE A

MILAN - Inter romped to a 3-0 victory over Reggina at the San Siro and go three points clear at the top of the Serie A table as AC Milan fell to a 1-0 defeat away to Perugia.

The Nerazzurri were rarely troubled by the Calabrians, whose best chances fell to Cozza and Bonazzoli in the opening minutes first half. Cuper's troops took the lead in the 9th minute when Cordoba made a blistering run down the right wing then crossed in for Vieri, who from eight yards volleyed his eighteenth goal of the season past Belardi.

Bobo was forced to leave the pitch on the half hour following a harsh challenge by Jiranek, and Cuper brought on Mohamed Kallon. And the Sierra Leone striker showed that Inter have adequate replacements for Bobogol with two goals in the final five minutes of the first half that effectively made the result safe.

Kallon's first was a close-range strike after Belardi failed to hold onto Okan’s initial shot from inside the box. The second was a clinical finish from the penalty spot after Emre was sent clattering to the ground by Diana.

Inter maintained ball possession for much of the second half, but there were more injuries woes for Cuper when Emre was stretchered off with an suspected injury to his left ankle in the wake of a challenge by Vargas.
