TOLDO: "AGAINST REGGINA WE'LL HAVE TO AVOID TRAPS."

APPIANO GENTILE - Francesco Toldo press conference (1).

You've conceded a lot of goals away from home. Why?
I don't remember all the results, but this team is uncommon. In three matches - Perugia, Lazio and Empoli - we've raised our average. But this defence is very strong. There are Sundays in which for one reason or another we go under. But I don't really know why. However, this statistic isn't alarming because it was actually those three matches that raised the average. One reason could be the lack of concentration by several players in the same moment.

De Santis will referee Sunday's match. Are you worried?
No. Our referees are the best in the world. Without them you don't play. It's like the ball. I think the situation should be diluted. Certain refereeing mistakes are evident, just like some of our errors. After Vryzas' goal I made a proposal - in the case of evident errors or in the case of deception we should stop the game and use technology to punish serious irregularities. It already happens in other countries. Through this we could have more justice for everyone. It's clear that it can't be done in a hurry, but it could be realised within one, two or three years.

Some people said it was you that made mistakes in Perugia...
There was the sun and other things. But I was about to catch it [the ball]! And he [Vryzas] hit it with his hand!

Reggina have had a Scudetto average since December...
They've won their last three matches. We'll have to avoid traps and we must get right to the end by trying to get where we didn't manage to last year.
