MILAN - (ANSA) "I think it would be an enlarged Coppa Italia," commented an unenthusiastic Massimo Moratti about the proposal made at the Lega Calcio meeting last week to enlarge the Serie A to a 40-team championship divided into two groups.
Moratti explained that he hasn't taken the proposal into serious consideration and is awaiting further clarifications in order to understand whether it's a serious idea or not.
"It could have been a quip, or perhaps not," added Moratti. "Perhaps they have thought about it seriously, but it's not an advantage at the moment - I think it would be an enlarged Coppa Italia. But perhaps behind all this there's something we haven't understood and they will tell us in the future."
