MILAN – Joao Mario has spoken of his delight at being able to be at San Siro to watch his new team-mates take on Palermo on Sunday evening.
"It’s wonderful to be here – it’s a great feeling," began the Portuguese. "The fans have already shown me a lot of love. I’m delighted.
"It was an easy decision to make but a big one. I’m at a huge club and I’m happy that Inter showed such interest in me. I have to thank the club for that. I hope to help the team achieve its objectives."
Joao Mario also spoke about the Nerazzurri’s aims for the season ahead: "Inter should be fighting for the highest honours every season, but we just need to take each game as it comes and make sure we give 100%."
The new Inter man will have to wait until after the international break to make his Nerazzurri debut, but he is already looking forward to the moment: "I’ll be ready to train with the group once I’m back from international duty. I’m at the boss’ disposal and I’ll be available for the Pescara game if he sees fit."
