A DAY TO PAY OUR RESPECTS

A minute's silence will be held before the match against Palermo to remember the victims of this week’s earthquake, in which two Inter Club members lost their lives

MILAN – It has been a Serie A weekend like few others following the tragic events that occurred in Italy this week.

Beginning with yesterday’s games, the Italian football community has paid its respects to the victims of the earthquake which hit central Italy on Wednesday.

Before Inter take on Palermo at the San Siro, the Nerazzurri’s first home game of the league campaign, there will be a minute’s silence to remember all those affected by the tragedy.

It will also be an opportunity to remember two members of the Inter Club family, who sadly lost their lives in the catastrophe. Pompeo Rubei and Sabatino Giamogante were members of Inter Club Le Rose, just a few miles from Amatrice. Both will be in our thoughts tonight.

The Inter Club Coordination Centre and everyone at the club would like to offer their most heartfelt condolences to their families.
