HERNANES: "TOUGH DEFEAT TO TAKE"

Brazilian midfielder chews over Inter's San Paolo setback: "Disappointed and frustrated but we're determined to get ourselves on track"

NAPLES – A downhearted Hernanes shared his views with journalists after Inter's Coppa Italia quarter-final defeat against Napoli.

"We're disappointed and frustrated. Before the game we were saying to ourselves how determined we are to get ourselves back on track.

"The match went well, we were playing well. Letting in a goal like that is hard to take but we just have to look forward and get on with it.

"I've been at Inter for a year now and I've been through a fair bit in that time... I've found it hard but I'm starting to find my form now and I want to achieve something with this team."

The Brazil midfielder added: "I can't believe how little reward we're getting for all the work we're putting in but I still think we can do something this season.

"My position? Where I played today is my favourite position.

"Mancini has changed the way we play, our mentality. He wants us to press the opposition high up the pitch and play the ball.

"Results aren't going our way right now but we can still have our say in things this year."
