MILAN – It’s titled simply Warhol and it’s the exhibition dedicated to American artist Andy Warhol. The exhibition is being promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Milan and produced by the Palazzo Reale, 24 ORE Cultura - Gruppo 24 ORE and the Arthemisia Group. Acting as curator is art collector Peter Brant, who also happened to be a personal friend of the artist who produced the famous portraits of Mao and the iconic Marylin Monroe.
So what does Warhol have to do with Inter? Well, something, perhaps. The first clue is that the exhibition ends on 9 March, which is the same date in which Inter was founded.
The second is that, when walking through Milan in the next few days, you might happen to notice advertising posters bearing the images of Javier Zanetti and Diego Milito, along with other prominent personalities.
"Do you Warhol?" is the slogan. And Inter and their two champions have responded, "Yes!"
