APPIANO GENTILE - Eleven different players have found the net for the Nerazzurri so far this season, with the side's 27 goals scored the best record in Serie A: "These statistics are good signs and we're happy with them," said Walter Mazzarri at the start of his press conference ahead of Inter v Livorno.
"I've heard people talk about the fact that we only play with one recognised striker, and would it not be better to play with two, but I think what's important is how the players move and that we try to play positive football. I think about both phases of play, I like it when we score goals and don't concede them. In order to score a lot of goals you need to be careful not to allow your opponents to do likewise. We're perhaps a point or two short in the table considering our performances, but we're happy with what we've done so far."
Despite a number of players missing from the forward line, the Nerazzurri coach was keen to point out that: "Belfodil has returned to fitness since last Sunday and we took a young lad to Udine, Puscas, who I think we'll involve again. What matters to me is how the team does as a unit, with the right spirit, that's how we can do well against anyone.
"Both Rolando and Guarin showed positive signs at Udinese, so we might once again adopt that tactical approach. I look at the pitch, that's what I do with all the players, and he's so good and such an important player that when he's fit and healthy, he can play in a three-man midfield, out wide, as a defender.
