LONDON - Tonight's Europa League round of 16 first leg between Tottenham and Inter finished 3-0.
Spurs went in front with just 6 minutes on the clock when Bale rose above Cambiasso to flick Sigurdsson's cross into the far corner. After 18 minutes it was 2-0. Lennon centred for Defoe, whose shot on the spin was well saved by Handanovic but Sigurdsson reacted quickly to steer home the rebound.
Villas-Boas' side added a third after the restart when Vertonghen headed home from a corner.
