UDINE – (www.udinese.it) Udinese Calcio and the non-profit organisation Udinese per la Vita have suspended the fundraising initiative organised in collaboration with the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Manzano to provide lifelong support to Maria Carla Morosini.
The decision was taken in agreement with Atalanta Calcio after President Antonio Percassi announced that, on behalf of the club, he wished to look after the late Piermario's sister for the rest of her life personally and autonomously.
Udinese Calcio sincerely thank all the Serie A and Serie B clubs which took part so actively in the Udinese per la Vita initiative. The target was reached within a matter of hours thanks to the generosity of President Percassi.
Udinese remains first in line for any future charity initiatives. The club will contact all those who joined the initiative to ask them if they would like to be reimbursed or send their contribution to Maria Carla Morosini anyway. They will also be invited to the Stadio Friuli for the rescheduled Serie A match between Udinese and Inter on Wednesday 25 April at 15:00.
