MARSEILLE - "It's a difficult moment and this match should have ended in a draw, but that's football for you." He would have wished for a happier Champions League debut with Inter, but Diego Forlan is in no mood for lying down.
"It should have ended 0-0," the Uruguayan striker reiterated as he spoke to Sky Sport Italia, "but it wasn't to be. This wasn't a game that we were supposed to lose. I've been through times like this before, with Uruguay and with my former clubs. Unfortunately you get ups and downs. We have to keep working and doing what we know how to do. We have a lot of quality in this side but you get moments like this. We didn't manage to score here but there's another game to play. At the Meazza with our fans behind us we hope to produce the performance we're all dreaming of."
Forlan ended by explaining that, "I found out I'd be starting tonight in the meeting we had before the match. We're all great players here at Inter and we have to wait our turn. I am disappointed I couldn't stick away that chance Cuchu gave me but there are times when the ball just won't go in for you. I'm not happy with my performance today but I feel good physically and that's the main thing. But we shouldn't have lost today."
