RANIERI: "WE WANT TO AND NEED TO PICK UP POINTS"

"We have taken blows that hurt, we want to turn things around. Julio Cesar wants to play"

APPIANO GENTILE – "The matches we have just left behind us were by no means inspiring because we took some blows that left us reeling; now we have to turn this tendency around," were the words of Claudio Ranieri as he opened his press conference on the eve of Inter v Bologna, to be played tomorrow at 20:45 at the Stadio Meazza.

"Since the beginning of January," he continued," Bologna have not lost an away game, but we need points. We must be careful not to give away any goals and we must be sharp when attacking, in spite of our absences, which is not an excuse. Football is not always an exact science: against Novara we worked hard and with one counter-attack they were able to hurt us. We'll have to be more careful tomorrow, because Bologna will try and attack on the break too."

At this stage the coach was asked about Julio Cesar's fitness: "He wants to play, tomorrow too. He doesn't want to sit back with the situation of the team as it is now and this is laudable."
