SAMADEN: "ALL CREDIT TO THESE LADS"

"In this competition, debut aside, we've played great matches as a real team"

LEIRA - At the end of the excellent performance and lovely victory of the Inter Primavera team over their contemporaries from Sporting Lisbon, Roberto Samaden, director of Inter's youth academy, commented on the Nerazzurri's qualification to the semi-finals of the European youth tournament: "It was a great performance, like all the ones we've played so far in this competition, aside from the debut. We faced a team that had not yet been defeated this season. So it was obviously a strong team."

In the dramatic setting of the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, which was expanded and modernised to accommodate the 2004 European Championships and the Portuguese Super Cup in 2006 and 2007, with over 10,000 fans, Stramaccioni's Nerazzurri, "rendered great honour upon everyone's work and upon the entire club. We must give everyone the proper credit for this victory tonight. We proved to be a great team and we were able to manage every moment of the match."

The NextGen Series will return in March, after the end of the Viareggio Tournament. Samaden concluded: "Now we're going back to focus on the league and the Viareggio Tournament, which are still our priorities."
