CORDOBA: "THE TEAM ALWAYS COMES FIRST"

From the L'Altropallone awards: "Always aiming to do better. We'll analyse things at the end of the season"

MILAN - "The most important thing is to earn points, because we know what kind of position we were in before. But it's right that there's always the idea of improving." So began Ivan Ramiro Cordoba at the presentation of the L'Altropallone award when he was asked about Claudio Ranieri's appeal to the team after they failed to shine against Lazio.

"It's not right to think everything is already taken care of and that there's no more growing left to do. A great team always wants to improve," added the defender.

Cordoba was then asked if Inter harbour dreams of the Scudetto: "We always aim to do better, then we'll analyse things at the end of the season. The most important thing is that we never lost confidence and the knowledge that we are a strong team."

And last, the Inter defender spoke of this season, which for him has gone a bit differently than normal: "It's a bit particular, that's true. But I'm here for the team, and that comes first and is the most important thing. Individuals come second. Now I have this role and I'm rolling up my sleeves and trying to make my contribution, ready for when I'm needed. Am I thinking of what I'll do at the end of my career? There are things that go through your head, but for now I'll think of playing as long as I can and continuing to do my best."
