MORATTI: "LAZIO ARE NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED"

Read the comments made by the president on the sidelines of the ICCC meeting

MILAN - Massimo Moratti answered some questions from the waiting journalists on the sidelines of the Inter Club coordinators' meeting at the Hotel Melià in Milan this afternoon. Here you can read the president's words in full:

President, do you agree with what Claudio Ranieri said today that in some ways tomorrow's match against Lazio could be even more difficult than the derby?

"That's quite normal. The derby has something special about it, there's more pressure and more emotion, but traditionally Lazio has always been a tough game for us. They need points to prove they are worthy of being in the top three and they have good players. It certainly won't be an easy match and we must make sure we don't underestimate them."

Ranieri said Thiago Motta is a unique player. Is that why he's not for sale?

"It's true that he's a unique player. Every player is unique at this level, when you win the Club World Cup and the Champions League. Motta is definitely one of our most important players and he's made history with Inter. That means he shouldn't be for sale. In the transfer market you never know but we hope he doesn't leave."

Are you any closer to signing Lucas?

"I don't know because I haven't seen Branca yet. I think the trip was to try and understand how things stand, not to do anything immediately. What can Lucas bring to the team? I'm not a coach but he looks like a useful player to me, with considerable talent, though no one is indispensable. That said, sometimes these new players that come through showing world-class potential can be important."

Where do you think Tevez will end up playing?

"That's a difficult question... [smiling]"
