CORDOBA: "HAPPY FOR THE RETURN? THANKS TO ALL"

"It's important to maintain rhythm, confidence, and concentration. I'm happy for all the lads"

APPIANO GENTILE – The seventh straight win for Inter, who advanced to the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia where they will face Napoli on Wednesday 25 January at the Stadio San Paolo. In an interview given to Inter Channel that will air on 'Rassegna Stampa' at 13:30 and on TG at 19:30, Ivan Cordoba stated: "It's important to maintain this rhythm, confidence, and concentration. I'm very happy for all the lads and for myself, above all, since I came back to play 90 minutes after 11 months. I felt very good; better than I thought I would. I want to thank the medical staff and trainers who helped me so much in this period and these days to be able to play a match like the one yesterday."

The Colombian continued: "Everything is going through your head; the desire to play and the knowledge of playing in a great team. Then, when you come out at the San Siro, motivation comes to you automatically. Yesterday my concentration was very important from a tactical point of view and I have to say that, even if I hadn't played in so long, I felt very good. I was beside a great player like Andrea [Ranocchia] and we both understood each other very well. We talked a lot and we said many things, even before the game, in order to do everything the best we could. That's how it went, aside from the final goal that we didn't want and that we were very sorry to have let in. Am I happy to return? Thanks to everyone."
