MORATTI: "WINNING THE DERBY IS A GOOD FEELING"

The complete version of the statements made by the Nerazzurri president the day after AC Milan v Inter

MILAN - As he was leaving his offices in the centre of Milan, Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti made some statements to waiting journalists. Read the complete version on inter.it:

President Moratti, is the day after winning the derby even better than the day itself?

"To tell you the truth yesterday wasn't a bad day either... [smiling, Ed]. But it's a good feeling. You feel more relaxed and not only have your team shown what they can do, but those who work at Inter and in particular Ranieri, so it's a positive feeling."

What do you think about Inter's initial bid for Tevez being turned down?

"Turned down? I wasn't aware of that; they never tell me anything... [smiling, Ed]. He's an interesting player all right. Let's wait and see if another chance comes around. But it's understandable because a lot of other teams are interested."

Do you think any other reinforcements are needed in other parts of the team?

"After seeing yesterday's game I don't think so. You have to keep faith in the players you have, but if you look ahead it might be useful to have a second line of players who have a future, but for the time being the team is fine as it is."

Is Wesley Sneijder going to stay at Inter?

"Yes, I should think so."

Ranieri said that after the derby was the time to give an opinion on Inter. What do you think of them?

"I think he was talking from his point of view, about an evaluation of his side after the derby. We'll hear what he has to say."

Ranieri has said that we need to see whether Tevez can be a positive addition or a negative one to a team that has found balance.

"That's what the coach thinks and he is the person who is nearest to the group so, naturally, what he says must be taken into consideration."

How would the squad react to a signing like that?

"I can't say. We have never talked to the team about this."

Would winning the 'derby for Tevez' be another important victory over AC Milan?

"That could be true but doing things on principle can be fun and doing things because they make sense is another thing altogether. So we'll see. It could be worthwhile. I don't know... [smiling, Ed]."

Will any new moves be made over the next few days?

"I don't know."
