INTER CHANNEL, STANKOVIC: "AMERICA? NEWS TO ME"

"I know nothing about it really. There is absolutely no chance of me leaving here"

APPIANO GENTILE - The fans wanted to know if it's true that Dejan Stankovic, looking ahead to the future, would be tempted to play in America. "America? That's news to me, I don't know anything about it. When I came back after the Christmas holidays, quite a few people asked me if it was true, but I honestly know nothing about it. Anyway I don't consider myself on the market. I can tell you that I'm 95% certain of ending my career here. And I say 95% rather than 100% because, even though I'd rather stay here and finish my career, I'll only stay if I'm able to keep playing at this high standard. If my legs listen to me and I can keep playing at this level, I'll finish playing here. However, at the moment there is zero percent chance of me going somewhere else. As for the future, when I do finally hang up my boots, I always say: it's better to quit a year earlier then to have others tell you that it's time you did."

Stankovic continued the interview on Inter Channel speaking of his love for the blue and black shirt: "I always want to show how much I love this shirt, you have to show you deserve to wear it. It's a weight on your shoulders but I do all in my power to honour it."

The subject then changed radically. The Nerazzurri midfielder was asked by the fans to analyse the differences between Claudio Ranieri and José Mourinho as coaches: "Everyone is different from everyone else. Everyone has qualities and defects. Mourinho and Ranieri are different, of course, but one isn't better or worse than the other. And as players we always try to get the best from each of them; the best is what we need."
