Zanetti on fire in November

Javier Zanetti broke his four-year goal drought with Inter's first goal in the 2-0 home win over Ascoli. And November is the Inter captain's most fruitful month of the year, with 5 of his 11 Serie A goals coming in the eleventh calendar month.

Crespo prolific in November

According to the statistics Hernan Crespo is one of most decisive players after eleven rounds of Serie A matches. The Argentine forward's goals in the victories over Roma, Chievo and AC Milan have won Inter 9 points. And the immediate future looks good for the Nerazzurri, as November is one of Crespo's two most prolific months of the footballing year. He has scored 17 of his 118 Italian goals in the eleventh calendar month, the same number as in April.

First-half sprints, second-half carelessness

After eleven rounds of Serie A matches, Inter are the most prolific team in the first quarter-hour periods of games, with 5 goals scored. In contrast, ten of the thirteen league goals let in by Inter so far this Serie A season (76.9% of the total) have come in second halves: 2 from 46'-60', 2 from 61'-75', and 6 from 76'-90'.

Reggina's second-half scoring form

Nine of Reggina's twelve goals have come in the second halves of Serie A matches this season. That's 75% of the total.

No away goal against Reggina for 214 minutes

The Amaranto from Reggio Calabria have not conceded a goal in Serie A matches away from since the 3-0 defeat at Fiorentina. Since Blasi's 56th-minute goal at the Franchi on 22 October, Reggina have gone without conceding for the remaining 34 minutes of that game from the entire away games at Lazio (0-0) and Siena (0-1), a total of 214 minutes.

No Reggina goal against Inter in Serie A for 631 minutes

Nakamura's 89th-minute goal in a 2-1 away defeat to Inter on 22 September 2002 was the last time the Calabrians scored against the Nerazzurri. MILAN - Hernan Crespo scored a stunning volley at the Giuseppe Meazza to give Inter a 1-0 home win against Reggina and put the Nerazzurri three points clear of Palermo at the top of the Serie A table ahead of next Sunday's clash with the Sicilians at the Renzo Barbera.

Crespo, playing up front with Julio Cruz for the first time this season, lashed into the back of the net in the fourth minute after headed passes from Stankovic and Vieira to score his fifth league goal this season.

The visitors from Reggio Calabria reacted well after falling behind and could have levelled in between vital penalty-area clearances from Cordoba and Samuel when Simone Missiroli's flicked header came back off the post.

Julio Cesar gave another polished performance in goal with a couple of fine one-handed saves from Leon and Tognozzi to keep a determined Reggina side at bay.

Inter had chances to increase their lead through Solari, Crespo and Cruz, who made way for Adriano early in the second half after sustaining a knee injury.

Reggina, who had coach Walter Mazzarri sent off for protesting shortly before the break, had a goal ruled out for offside in the 77th minute when Tognozzi's shot from 25 yards went over the line via the shoulder of Bianchi.
