STUTTGART - Italy withstood a furious second-half onslaught from Germany to win tonight's friendly international 1-0.
The Azzurri took the lead on 17 minutes through Bobo Vieri. Del Piero played square to Nerazzurri striker on the edge of the box, then Vieri played a quick one-two with Totti before crashing his shot past Kahn and into the top right-hand corner of the net.
The victory was Italy's first against Germany in eleven years.
