APPIANO GENTILE - Turkey won't be able to count on Emre Belozoglu in tomorrow night's clash with Moldova. The Nerazzurri midfielder still isn't in tip-top condition, but there's no lack of support for his beloved national team.
In an interview with Inter Channel, Emre declared, "It's an important friendly because the fundamental match with England will soon be upon us. We lost the first match and we didn't play well. Now we have to win because Turkey must qualify for the European championship."
Even if Turkey fail to get a positive result against Eriksson's men, there's still the chance of a ticket to Portugal via a play-off. But only one result is good enough for Emre: "We'll try and finish top, if we beat the English we're there."
