MILAN - Former Nerazzurri right winger Jair is 63 today. The Great Inter legend, who won everything with Herrera's side during the 1960s, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about Inter's latest arrival:
After forty years Inter have a new Brazilian right winger...
"I'm pleased. Brazilians always bring class and inventiveness."
But you also brought numerous successes...
"I wish my successor a lot of luck so that his transfer will coincide with a new era of triumphs. The Moratti family and all the fans really do deserve it."
Is Luciano the right man?
"In San Paolo they remember him when he was at Palmeiras, but he was a boy. I have followed him, watching him on TV ever since he came to Bologna, and I have to say that he expressed the best of his repertoire at Chievo. Two years ago he had an excellent season, he was continuous and incisive. He dribbled with great ease and put in some nice crosses. The last championship doesn't count because the player was clearly affected by the passport issue."
