How can you explain such a negative performance?
I think it's right to divide the match into two distinct phases - the first half during which the team played a discrete game and the two or three chances per half, and a second half in which a certain tiredness was evident. We were also lacking in determination. After the goal we went through a very difficult period which culminated in Cordoba's sending-off. At that point, Milan were constantly in numerical superiority in the midfield. We also insisted on long balls too much. We'll wait for tomorrow's result [Bologna v Juventus] to see if there any more chances of coming back. We'll have to work hard on the psychological aspect so we can raise the team's morale.
There's the impression that there has been a sharp downturn in Inter's performances...
There are no doubts about that if you analyse today's second half. The team didn't seem able to maintain a high level of play.
