APPIANO GENTILE - Hernan Crespo arrived at Pinetina this morning to work out his programme of rest and work following Sunday's thigh injury. When he reached the gates of the Nerazzurri's training ground, the Argentinian striker saw the banner with his name and wished to thank all the fans through Inter.it.
"Thanks very much to the fans who over the last few days have given great displays of affection," he said.
"I remember also that on Sunday evening the 'curva' chanted my name, and you can't imagine how good it is to feel affection in moments like these."
Crespo continued, "The banner I saw outside Pinetina is wonderful, it fills me with joy and gives me even more hope of returning to the pitch as soon as possible. I would also like to thank my team-mates, the coach and all the staff, who since Sunday evening have called me so many times and have always been very close to me."
