APPIANO GENTILE - After a warm-up on the heated pitch at Pinetina, the Nerazzurri played a practice match on a reduced-size pitch. The match was divided into three periods, each with a different set of rules.
In the first phase of the match, the players were allowed to touch the ball with their hands or heads only. In the second period, one touch of the ball with the feet was also permitted, while in the third and final stage normal rules applied, though the players could only score from headers.
