INTER WOMEN: COMMENTS FROM SAMADEN AND PASQUI

The two senior figures from our Elite Academy were speaking after the Nerazzurre's promotion to Serie A

MILAN - Inter Women could finally celebrate Serie A promotion on Sunday after they secured their 17th successive league win.

Head of the Nerazzurri’s Elite Academy Roberto Samaden has since had this to say: “This achievement is the result of hard work, on behalf of both the club and all of the staff. The Women’s Team is a new area with great potential for the future. It’s already more developed abroad and it’s now finally moving forward in Italy. This achievement makes me extremely happy. We have a group of young girls, while we must also give credit to Coach De La Fuente and his backroom staff.”

As for the Head of the Women’s Elite Academy, Ilaria Pasqui, she was equally as pleased: “It was an objective that we cared for deeply and something that we’ve worked really well on over the past few months. Credit goes to all those involved, both on and off the pitch. We struggled a bit in the first half today, before the team regained enthusiasm after breaking the deadlock. We now want to finish the season in the best way possible, maintaining maximum points. The secret behind this team’s success? Everyone has tried to work towards one single goal. Everyone has given their all.”
