UEL, CANDREVA: "WE WANT TO GO AS FAR AS POSSIBLE"

The Nerazzurri winger ahead of the Europa League fixture: "It's an important game tomorrow, everyone wants to do well"

APPIANO GENTILE - A day before the second leg of the tie against Rapid Vienna in the Europa League, Antonio Candreva was the player sat alongside Luciano Spalletti at the pre-match press conference.

"It’s important to get through the round because we care about this competition, we want to go as far as possible because we are Inter. Tomorrow, I expect it will be a difficult game and every match needs to be approached with determination and the right approach. It’s also an important game tomorrow for those who play less and who want to show what they can do."

Candreva was also asked about the different styles of Icardi and Lautaro Martinez. "Icardi and Lautaro are two different forwards. Mauro is more of a penalty-box striker, he looks to get on balls at the near post. Lautaro looks to create chances more, looking for the ball all over the area."

He also looked back on whether there was anything he’d like to change from the past season. "The thing that I would change is the fact that I didn’t score last year so I would go back a few months in order to score some decisive goals for my teammates and the team."
