MILAN - The Nerazzurri’s Under-19 side were eliminated from the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday despite securing a fantastic result against PSV. This win gave Inter hope, although it ultimately wasn’t enough as Tottenham beat Barcelona at the Mini Estadi. Regardless, it has still been a beneficial European adventure for the players and one that many can learn from.

Following Inter’s 3-0 win over PSV, Armando Madonna, Andrea Adorante and Facundo Colidio all spoke to Inter TV:

Armando Madonna: “We’ve grown continuously over our six games in the UEFA Youth League. We were aggressive and solid today, getting the result that we deserved in the second half. We should’ve got a few more points than we did, but we’re pleased with what we’ve done. European competition gives you more adrenaline, however, we now have to think about doing well in the league. We need to improve our mentality and keep working on our mistakes to ensure that we can grow in the future.”

Andrea Adorante: “Today, it was important to win to convince ourselves of our own ability. It was a deserved result and it allows us to look to the future with maximum confidence. We are improving as a group and this is the most important thing. We are Inter, we must always give our all to keep improving.

Facundo Colidio: “We put in a great performance, one of the best this season. It was a great journey and we’ve matured from this experience. I think that today’s match will allow us to look ahead to our next league games with calmness and help us to obtain the most points possible.”
