UYL: MADONNA, SCHIRÒ AND COLIDIO ALL SPEAK AFTER BARCELONA VS. INTER

The Nerazzurri trio gave their verdict on the team's performance to Inter TV after Wednesday's UEFA Youth League defeat

BARCELONA - Armando Madonna’s Under-19 side lost 2-1 during their matchday three UEFA Youth League encounter on Wednesday, with the Nerazzurri falling just short despite a second-half goal from Facundo Colidio. After the game, the Argentinian attacker, Coach Armando Madonna and Thomas Schiro all spoke about the team’s performance to Inter TV:

Armando Madonna: “It was a first half to forget. We came into the game with the wrong attitude. We improved in the second half and there were chances to get more than we did. We still need work even harder to improve our approach and determination. We didn’t manage to show consistency over the course of the game, everyone needs to give more to pick up wins out on the pitch. The main objective is to improve our attitude and gain consistency, then we also have the quality to obtain good results.”

Thomas Schirò: “There is regret after the first half when obviously we should’ve done more. We started with a bit of fear and Barcelona went ahead after scoring two. We dictated play in the second half and we deserved a different result. We must continue to work hard in training and show more of a competitive edge in our players. In our next league match against Juventus, we have a good chance to redeem ourselves.”

Facundo Colidio:  “We deserved to score more in the second half. For our next match against Juventus, we must start again from the determination shown in the second half.”
