APPIANO GENTILE - There was no time to waste ahead of the first competitive fixture of the season so the Nerazzurri were at work at the Suning Training Centre in Memory of Angelo Moratti on the Italian holiday of Ferragosto. Mauro Icardi and co had a double session as they prepare for the trip to the Mapei Stadium to face Sassuolo.
The morning session focused on the physical side of things in the gym and on the pitch. In the afternoon, there was work on the ball with a rondo to warm up. Then, there were drills that focused on individual technique before a long tactical session in groups.
To bring things to a close, there was high intensity match on a small-size pitch with Alessandro Antonello, Giovanni Gardini, Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin watching on.
