NANJING – The Suning Sports Olympic Sports Centre Flagship Store was officially opened with an inauguration ceremony in Nanjing on Sunday afternoon.

Inter vice president Javier Zanetti, Steven Zhang and interim CEO Jun Liu were all there to help cut the ribbon on a 700m2 store which is in part dedicated to the Nerazzurri.

Liu called the store "a shining light in the industry which will bring the two clubs and their fans even closer together".

After visiting the various areas of the two-storey space and answering questions from the many journalists attending the launch, Zanetti – joined by Inter Forever director Francesco Toldo – took part in an exclusive fan event which saw Nerazzurri supporters meet the two legends for photos and autographs.

"I’m delighted to have met the fans and want to thank them for their support," said Zanetti. "The supporters are our twelfth man – they are the key to our success. They’re our rock and we hope that they continue to show us such fantastic support."

After the launch event, the Inter delegation attended the second leg of the CFA Cup final between Jiangsu Suning and Guangzhou at the Olympic Sports Centre. Also at the game were chairman Jindong Zhang, president Erick Thohir, corporate director Michael Williamson, chief communications officer Robert Faulkner, chief revenue officer Michael Gandler and board members Jun Ren and Yang Yang.
