MILAN – This week’s #ThrowbackThursday takes us back a game between Inter and Lazio at the San Siro in the 1957/1958 season.

The hosts won the game 5-2, thanks to a memorable hat-trick from Antonio Valentin Angelillo in his first season at the club.

On 22 September 1957, in the third match of the Serie A season, Jesse Carver’s Inter hosted Lazio, who were led by Milovan Ciric.

Angelillo gave Inter the lead after just three minutes, with Lorenzi and Skoglund adding to the Nerazzurri’s tally.

Lazio almost drew themselves level, after goals from Selmosson and Burini made the score 3-2.

However, the Argentine eventually put Inter out of sight, with two goals after the 80-minute mark to make it a 5-2 win for the Nerazzurri.
