INTER CAMPUS BACK IN L'AQUILA

Week-long day camp with Inter Campus trainers for boys and girls from the areas hit by the earthquake in 2009

L'AQUILA – Yesterday was the first day of 'Nerazzurri Week', a day camp for boys and girls from L'Aquila and the surrounding areas struck by the devastating earthquake in 2009. The initiative has been organised by Inter Campus in collaboration with the Local Education Authority's Office for Sport and Physical Education.

During the course of the week the children will receive a free Inter shirt and coaching from Inter Campus trainers, while having the chance to play with old friends and make new ones.

The activities are being run in Centi Colella on the pitches of the University Sports Centre (CUS). As explained during a news conference today, with Nerazzurri Week the CUS is officially starting up again following the completion of renovation work made necessary after the centre hosted one of the biggest 'tent cities' in L'Aquila.

Inter Campus wanted to bring children together again this year for another week of fun and games to remind people that there are areas very close to us which have still not fully recovered from the aftermath of the earthquake.

Nerazzurri Week ends on the morning of Saturday 7 September with a party open to the whole community organised with the help of Inter Club Abruzzo.
