PRIMAVERA: CESENA 3-1 INTER, A TOUGH DEFEAT

Behind early on from Cicarevic; Gravina, Sensi (pen) and Gabbianelli scored after the break

VILLA SILVA DI LIZZANO - Inter put in possibly their worst display of the season this afternoon at Cesena. The Nerazzurri were comfortably beaten 3-1 by the men from Romagna after a tough match. The lads switched off three times at the back, as the defence visibly struggled throughout.

It became an uphill battle for Daniele Bernazzani's youngsters as soon as they were caught cold on 6 minutes: Cicarevic took advantage of a Mbaye mistake and opened the scoring for the hosts. Cesena doubled their lead after just 28 seconds of the second half through Gravina and had the game won on the hour as Sensi scored from the spot (handball from Paramatti).

The Nerazzurri reacted too late and Gabbianelli's goal on 83 minutes was nothing more than a consolation. It meant a heavy defeat for Inter both in terms of the scoreline and the league table. Chievo move three points clear of the Nerazzurri thanks to their win over Padova yesterday, making it more difficult for Inter in the fight for second place which ensures a spot in the Final Eight.
