SHANGHAI - Eliminated on penalties. After coming through a shootout at the quarter-final stage of the Manchester United Premier Cup 2012, the Inter Giovanissimi Nazionali team's spot-kick luck ran out against Universidad Catolica in the semi-final.
Defeat means the Nerazzurri U-15s now face Santos in tomorrow's third-place playoff, after the Brazilians were beaten 1-0 by Gamba Osaka.
The final will be held tomorrow evening at Shanghai Stadium before the friendly match between Shanghai Shenhua and Manchester United.
