APPIANO GENTILE – It was the first training session of the week for Inter as
they prepare for two league matches; Wednesday night at the Stadio Tardini
against Parma and Sunday night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro for
the derby. Technical director Marco Branca and Luis Figo (pictured) were also
present at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti.
As was scheduled after the match, Andrea Stramaccioni divided the team into
several groups. The first group, consisting of the Nerazzurri players who saw
the most action against Cesena, underwent a light workout. The second group worked out on the
pitch for approximately 60 minutes and consisted of the other available Inter
players, including Julio Cesar, Walter Samuel and Javier Zanetti along with the
youngsters who were added to the session: goalkeeper Raffaele Di Gennaro,
full-back Ibrahima Mbaye, midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan and forward Marko
Livaja. There were also personalised sessions aimed at competitive recovery for
Luc Castaignos (who also did part of his work on the pitch) and Cristian Chivu.
Tomorrow afternoon will be the last workout at the Centro Sportivo Angelo
Moratti before the departure for Parma. The session will be preceded by a press
conference with Andrea Stramaccioni, which will start at 13:00 and will be
aired live on Inter Channel and inter.it.
