APPIANO GENTILE - After returning to Milan yesterday evening from the league
win in Udine, Inter took to the pitch this morning at the Centro Sportivo
Angelo Moratti in La Pinetina to prepare for the match against Cesena,
scheduled for Sunday 29 April at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (kick-off at15:00).
It was the typical workout that takes place between two events scheduled so
closely together. One group, which featured Lucio and Diego Milito, consisted
of the Nerazzurri players who saw the most action yesterday, as they worked on
individual recovery. The second group, with all the other available players,
worked on the pitch for approximately 70 minutes, including the youngsters who
were added to the group: goalkeeper Ivica Ivusic ('95), full-back Ibrahima
Mbaye ('94), midfielder Alfred Joseph Duncan ('93) and forward Marko Livaja
('93).
Javier Zanetti underwent an individual session, partly on the pitch and partly
in the gym. For Walter Samuel, however, there was a complete programme on the
pitch aimed at competitive recovery. Cristian Chivu and Luc Castaignos
underwent treatment, physiotherapy and a recovery programme in the gym.
Tomorrow morning will be the second training session ahead of Inter v Cesena,
once again in Appiano Gentile.
