APPIANO GENTILE - After the press conference there was the usual appointment in front of the Inter Channel cameras for Andrea Stramaccioni, who had an opportunity to comment on the ban handed to Simone Pecorini by the disciplinary committee. The coach explained: "The first feeling I have is bitterness. I unfortunately did not see anything. I wasn't present for the incident that could have started this. But what I can say, however, is that I was taken aback by this story because Pecorini is a fantastic lad who rarely complains. He's always like that, even when he's alone on the bench. It seems strange that he would be so naive as to do something that serious. If he was wrong, however, he'll take responsibility for it. But without knowing, I'm certainly ready to step up in his defence."
Speaking to Roberto Monzani, Stramaccioni then returned to a concept that had already been addressed in the conference; that the Inter seen tomorrow will be the best possible one ("We cannot afford to rotate the squad, certainly not tomorrow. After the 90 minutes against Cagliari we'll see, but tomorrow we'll field the best Inter"). He then sang the praises of Juan Jesus, responding to the curiosity of a fan: "One of the most interesting youngsters in the world to emerge recently. It was an important operation for Inter, and he is a very interesting player."
