STRAMACCIONI: "A PROACTIVE INTER, BUT..."

"To become truly great we must improve in front of goal and learn to be more cynical"

BRESSO – In the 38th minute, the long pass from Duncan for Livaja and the subsequent penalty (with Piccoli getting sent off). This was how Andrea Stramaccioni's Primavera team opened the scoring against Hellas Verona. The header from Spendlhofer in the 49th minute gave them a 2-0 win.

After this Week 18 league match the Inter coach stated: "Verona played their game. It wasn't easy to find space behind them, with Bonazzi fielding five defenders. We created some chances, but we struggled to find the openings. The penalty episode was certainly a great chance in the way we built up to it."

It was a lovely Inter on display and one that created many scoring chances, especially in the second half, but the team did not know how to make the most of them. On this subject Stramaccioni continued: "The thing that we must continue to work on, in order to grow and become a truly great team, is finishing our chances. Apart from today's match, our path this season has been characterised by many points lost along the way. I want to see a proactive Inter, one that creates and plays an open game, rather than making calculations. However, we must improve in front of goal. We can't always think about having the chance to create a lot. Becoming a great team also means knowing how to be cynical," concluded the Inter coach.
