Stramaccioni's team beat Sporting 0-1 on their own patch: Mbaye heads home 57th-minute winner

LEIRIA - The Nerazzurri U-19s took on Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon at the Estadio Magalhães Pessoa in the NextGen Series quarter-finals this evening and pulled off a fantastic result, inflicting a first defeat of the season on the home side. Ibrahima Mbaye decided the game in the 57th minute when he rose above everyone else to head home Bessa's corner, scoring his first goal in Nerazzurri colours and sealing Inter's place in the semi-finals of the European youth tournament. Marko Livaja made his Nerazzurri debut after joining from Cesena, replacing Daniel Bessa in the 72nd minute.
