APPIANO GENTILE - Diego Forlan underwent diagnostic procedures this afternoon after feeling a persistent niggle in his right thigh. The tests revealed a rectus femoris strain.
As a result the striker will not be available for the match against Genoa and tomorrow he will begin a programme of rehab and therapy.
Forlan's last injury, which picked up in October during the Paraguay v Uruguay match, was to the biceps femoris muscle in his left leg.
