APPIANO
GENTILE – There were two workouts in the first workday of the week at the
Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti. After the victory in the derby and ahead of the
double challenge this week (Coppa Italia against Genoa on Thursday and the
league match against Lazio on Sunday), Claudio Ranieri and the technical staff
divided the players into two groups. The first one consisted of the Inter
players who were most involved in yesterday's match and they underwent a
regenerative session (on the pitch, in the gym or in the pool) according to
individual needs. The second group, however, performed 90 minutes of work on
the pitch and in an 11 v 11 training match consisting of two 30-minute halves.
Davide
Faraoni and Diego Forlan played only the first half (followed by individual
work), while nine youngsters were integrated into the group: from the Primavera
squad arrived defenders Jacopo Galimberti ('93) and Eugenio Giannetti ('93),
forwards Diego Mella ('93) and Gianmarco Falasca ('93), from the
Juniores-Berretti squad, defenders Samuele Folla ('94), Davide Marini ('94) and
Federico Scappi ('94), midfielders Niccolò Belloni ('94) and Stefano Tonsi
('94).
There
was physiotherapy and treatment for Dejan Stankovic. Sulley Muntari is
currently with the Ghana squad at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Tomorrow
morning, again at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in La Pinetina, will be
the second session of the week.
