VECINO: "WE CAN GAIN CONFIDENCE FROM A WIN IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE"

The Nerazzurri midfielder during today's press conference: "Only the present counts in football"

APPIANO GENTILE - Matias Vecino today spoke to the press on the eve of Inter vs. Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League: “Every match is different. We created chances against Parma but a goal was the only thing lacking. The team then became stretched and we were nervous about getting a result. It’s not a question of our approach. We started very strong in the first half against Torino, but we must work as a team to get a result over 90 minutes. We will have chances if we are united.

“It will be a very important game against Tottenham and the team can gain confidence from a win in the Champions League.

“I’ve rewatched the goal from the Olimpico a few times. It was a very special moment for us but only the present counts in football and tomorrow we have a great chance to enjoy an evening like the one in Rome.

“I am feeling better. I just need to get a few more minutes under my belt and some continuity out on the pitch. Is a lack of Champions League experience a hindrance? No, because we have also played in some key matches in other competitions.”
