Serie A returns this weekend after the international break and here are all the stats that you need to know ahead of Saturday's game at the Meazza

MILAN - League action is back this weekend after the international break, and in collaboration with Opta, here are all the stats that you need to know ahead of the matchday four Serie A encounter between Inter and Parma.

This will be game No. 49 between Inter and Parma in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri recording 19 wins, 15 defeats and 14 draws. The last 11 meetings between the two in Serie A have seen each team pick up an equal number of wins (four) and also three draws. Inter are unbeaten in six matches against newly-promoted teams in Serie A (five wins and one draw), while they’ve also only conceded three goals. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri has scored in 21 successive games against newly-promoted sides, with 46 goals in total (on average 2.2 every game). Parma have won only one of 24 league games against Inter at San Siro, with the last coming during a 3-1 victory in May 1999. The remainder have seen the Nerazzurri pick up 15 wins and eight draws.

Keita Balde scored his first top-tier goal against Parma in November 2013 for Lazio, while in total the Senegalese international has struck twice in four games against the Crociati. Meanwhile, Marcelo Brozovic has so far completed 175 passes in the opposition half in Serie A this season, which is at least 56 more than any other player. Furthermore, Brozovic is the player who has played the most passes (347) from the first three league games. Since the start of last season, only Marcos Alonso (eight), has scored more goals than Stefan de Vrij (seven) out of the defenders in each of the top five European leagues.

Antonio Candreva made 31 appearances for Parma during the 2010-11 campaign, scoring three goals. The winger has also scored twice against Parma, with both goals coming at home for Lazio. This season Candreva has scored one goal from just one attempt, which is in contrast to last season when he was the player who’d had the most shots without scoring (73). Finally, Kwadwo Asamoah’s only Serie A brace came against Parma back in April 2012, when he was still playing for Udinese.
