INTER VS. HELLAS VERONA: STATS AND TRIVIA

MILAN - Inter will be back after the international break at San Siro in front of the home crowd. Hellas Verona will be the opposition on Saturday afternoon and here are the stats for the match in collaboration with Opta. 

Inter are unbeaten from the past 15 meetings with Verona in Serie A (12 wins, 3 draws) and the Veneto side’s last win was in February 1992. In these 15 past matches, the Nerazzurri have always managed to score, netting an average of 2.3 goals per match. The Nerazzurri are unbeaten in all 27 home matches against Verona in Serie A with 16 wins and 11 draws. 

Among the players in the top five European leagues, Mauro Icardi has the best ratio of touches to goals with one goal scored every 26 touches. Only Luis Alberto (9) has made more assists than Antonio Candreva (8) this season. Milan Skriniar has hit the woodwork four times which is the most in the league for a defender. Among the players to have featured for over 500 minutes, João Cancelo is fourth for the average number of touches per 90 minutes (101). Borja Valero’s last Serie A goal was against Verona in the reverse fixture. They’re the team that he has scored the most against in Serie A with four goals. 

Èder has scored two goals from six matches against Verona, both of which were for Sampdoria. Ivan Perisic has scored twice against them in Serie A with both goals coming at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
