RISCONE DI BRUNICO – Andrea Pinamonti provided some insight into life under Luciano Spalletti when he spoke to Inter Channel on Thursday.
The 18-year-old striker, who scored Inter's first goal of pre-season in Sunday's friendly against Wattens, is one of the best placed to comment on the new boss's methods, having travelled up to Brunico with the initial squad a week ago.
"We're working really hard in training and bonding well as a group. Right from the very day one Spalletti has had us focus on tactics and intensity.
“You do feel the fatigue but that's normal because it's a lot of hard graft. The boss wants a very compact unit and every player to know exactly what he should be doing.
“Now that the whole squad is here together, the bar has been raised even higher.”
The Nerazzurri have their second pre-season friendly on Saturday, against FC Nurnberg, before heading back to Milan on Sunday. They will then set off on their summer tour of China and Singapore next week.
"Friendlies are important because they help you gauge your fitness levels and how you're coming along. Once we go tour we'll be playing against some really top sides.”
