INTER V ROMA STAT PACK

Roma are the Serie A side Inter have scored most goals and secured most wins against. Medel, Banega and Candreva chasing a second strike against the Giallorossi

MILAN – Stefano Pioli's Inter welcome Luciano Spalletti's Roma to the Stadio Meazza on Sunday night for a fixture that has become an Italian classic in recent years. Together with Opta, we've put together this collection of facts and figures to satisfy your statistical cravings.

Roma are the team that Inter have won most games and scored most goals against in Serie A. The Nerazzurri have emerged victorious from the last two league meetings in Milan (1-0 in 2015/16, 2-1 in 2014/15).

Mauro Icardi, available again after serving a two-match suspension, is the Serie A player who needs the fewest touches to find the net: he's currently on a goal every 38 touches. The Argentine striker made his Serie A debut against the Giallorossi and has previously scored twice against them.

Gary Medel has fond memories of this fixture: his first and so far only Serie A strike – a match-winning 30-yard effort – came against the Giallorossi at the Meazza in October 2015.

Antonio Candreva 's only goal against Roma – while playing for Lazio – was also worth three points.

Both of Ever Banega's league goals for Inter came against the Rome sides earlier in the season.

Miranda won't be involved this time around as he sits out through suspension.

Juan Jesus could face his former club on Sunday while former Lazio boss Stefano Pioli is sure to feel a few derby vibes.

Paolo Tagliavento will be overseeing his third match between these two teams, who have one win each from the previous meetings.
